All Fire Safety Wales approved sprinkler installers are trained to the latest standards, are fully familiar with a variety of installation techniques and procedures. To minimize disruption in occupied and operational dwellings, we communicate the scope of work with all clients. We are fully prepared to make variations to that scope to fit in with our clients needs.
A typical fire sprinkler installation will use Blazemaster CPVC pipe with concealed sprinkler heads or stainless steel pipe with pendent heads. The pipe work and sprinkler heads are installed in accordance with the design drawings. The pipe work is secured to the structure and glued together with solvent cement.
To ensure the cover plate fits flush to the ceiling, the fire sprinkler heads are accurately fitted as part of the first fix, pressure tested to at least 8 bar and checked for leaks. The system remains at this pressure until our engineers return for 2nd fix where they reinspect the pipework and pressure within the system, connect to the mains water supply, (tank and pump if required) and all decorative covers are installed. On completion of the system, a handover pack and certification is provided for the client along with full training on the system.
